There's more than 25sq m of internal floor space and 10 sq m of deck space for a summer of parties, barbecues, dabbling at being creative, or siestas, drinks and good books. The sheltered decking is the perfect backdrop for a Tennessee-style rocking chair, a breakfast table, or some serious Anne of Green Gables fantasies. The external deck may be too cold for winter breakfasts, but the rest of this log cabin summer house is warm enough for all the seasons. The timber is robust 44mm spruce, affording good levels of insulation. Windows at front, side and back are all double glazed with rubber seals and a 9mm cavity between the panes, offering exceptional energy-efficiency. As you walk into the building you are greeted with a fabulous set of double doors and selection of windows all being double glazed, as you enter the building you can feel a sense of welcoming as if you were walking into your very own home in the garden. The Alaska is a traditional design Log Cabin with apex roof, cylinder locking double door and covered veranda featuring pressure treated terrace boards and balustrade. The walls are 44mm Chalet cut logs and 19mm tongue and groove ceiling and floor. The roof has the option of felt or shingles covering. The double-glazed windows are tilt and turn opening with rubber seals throughout. The double door has a low threshold door sill with stainless steel protective capping and laminated frame. The cabin is supplied unfinished and can be stained or painted in any colour to suit. It has a manufacturer’s 5-year guarantee.
